Community Activities
The Kulukundis family are just one of a growing band of families showing renewed interest in the Hellenic Enclosure at West Norwood Cemetery, and in protecting and preserving their ancestors’ graves there.
The masonry for Captain Elias’ grave, and the funeral services for all three inhabitants, were provided by Yeatman & Sons of West Norwood which is why were the company chosen to restore the graves in 2024.
The restoration included the carving of a new cross, re-lettering of the plinth and column base, and the cleaning and re-setting of all re-usable marble pieces.
The family are delighted with the results and would encourage other Enclosure families to seek help to restore their own graves.
